Experience & Qualifications
My Experience:
I have experience of working with a wide range of clients and issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, domestic violence, grief, loss of confidence, low-self esteem, menopause, relationship issues and sexual abuse.
I am also passionate about working with people who have eating and/or body concerns, especially those in larger bodies. I firmly believe that we are all worthy of love and respect, and no matter whether we use the clinical terms ‘eating disorder’, ‘disordered eating’ ‘diet/binge cycle’ or ‘body dysphoria’ to define a person’s struggle, I never underestimate the pain and distress. For this reason, whilst referring to HAES (Health at Every Size) my approach is also trauma-informed and anti-oppressive. By uncovering underlying beliefs and patterns we can better understand and destigmatise value judgements around our food and bodies and work to reclaim our personal power so we become more connected to our authentic needs.
My Qualifications:
Postgraduate Diploma Person-Centred Pyschotherapy
Postgraduate Diploma Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Person-Centred Counselling Intermediate Level

IFD Professional Coaching for Diet-binge Cycling; Weight Stigma & Emotional Attachments to Food, Dieting, or Restriction

I undertake regular supervision as well as professional development and training. I am also part of several collectives for social justice and the compassionate treatment of eating disorders.
Just a note on my photos: I chose wildflowers because I love how they flourish with tenacity and resilience, much like the acutalising tendency I see in my clients.
